Find Visually Similar is a feature within Canto's AI Visual Search add-on. Starting from an image already in your library, it uses visual intelligence to surface other assets that look alike — making it easier to spot near-duplicates, find alternative shots, or discover related content across your library, without relying on keywords or metadata.
Please note: Find Visually Similar is included with the AI Visual Search add-on, and is only available in Canto's New Library. Contact your Account Manager if you are interested in enabling AI Visual Search for your account. |
Find visually similar assets
The actions outlined in this section do not require special privileges — any user can utilize Find Visually Similar, regardless of their role.
Find Visually Similar works with image assets, including .png, .jpeg, .nef, .tiff, and other standard image formats. Video assets are not currently supported as a reference.
- In your Main Library, locate the image you want to use as a reference.
- Open the context menu for that asset and select "Find Visually Similar."
3. Canto will display a set of visually similar assets from your library.
4. To refine your results, use the Filter menu on the right, or click any asset to open a preview.
Please note: If no results are returned, either no assets in your library are similar enough to meet the matching threshold, or the selected asset has not yet been processed by Canto's AI. Assets are indexed automatically after upload, but this process may take some time for larger libraries. |
