AI Library Assistant: Asset Categorization

  • Updated

    ~ minute read

What is the AI Asset Categorization?

The AI Asset Categorization is part of Canto XI's AI Library Assistant add-on feature – enabling Administrators to rapidly organize newly uploaded content without relying on existing metadata or manual tagging.

Built on the principles of AI Visual Search, the AI Library Assistant can assess Recent Uploads and group visually similar image assets together into unique categories. With these categories, you can easily sort and handle large groups of new assets, making your work faster and more efficient. You can also perform bulk actions on categories, reducing the time spent on individual review and management, and increasing your productivity.

How do I access the AI Asset Categorization feature?

If you are interested in enabling the AI Library Assistant for your account, do not hesitate to reach out to your Account Manager. Alternatively, you can submit a support request, and our capable customer service team will answer any questions you might have.

If the AI Library Assistant has already been enabled on your account, please see the following sections to learn how to use it.

How to: Use AI Asset Categorization

Please note:

The AI Library Assistant is available as part of the new Canto XI design, and cannot be accessed from Canto Classic.

From your Canto library, select "Recent Uploads" from the navigation panel on the right, which will show you all assets that were uploaded in the last 7 to 90 days. To start grouping them, click the "Categorize" button at the top of the page.

AI Asset Categorization will visually analyze the available image assets, and group them into categories based on the similarity of their content, which can be based on the following categories.

  • Subjects and objects in the scene
  • Actions performed
  • Time of day
  • Emotion
  • Lighting
  • Composition
  • Colors
  • Perspective

Categories are unique to the user who created them, and will persist for 24 hours or until you sign out, after which they must be re-generated. To change which assets are included in the categorization process, click the Calendar icon on the right and select a new time-frame, then click "Refresh Categories".

To access a category, simply click it. Once opened, you can engage with individual assets as if you were working directly from the library, or select multiple assets for bulk actions.
