Which metadata is Canto looking for in your 360° images?

Canto is checking if the following metadata of your 360° images contains true or panorama 360:

  • stitching software
  • use panorama viewer
  • cropped area image height pixels
  • cropped area image width pixels
  • cropped area left pixels
  • cropped area top pixels
  • full pano height pixels
  • full pano width pixels
  • slices group name

  • for projection type the value needs to be equirectangular


Which metadata is Canto looking for in your 360° videos?

The fields that Canto is looking for in your 360° video file's metadata includes spherical & stitched.


Note: The majority of 360° cameras have the capability to embed this information as well as most modern phones with the panorama mode. In case the metadata is missing it can be added with an external tool like ExifTool before uploading the file to Canto.
