Collections are valuable feature, allowing you to curate a personal selection of assets. Whether you're gathering assets for specific projects, organizing your favorites, or compiling the ones you use most frequently, Collections offer a versatile solution across the Main Library, Portals, or Style Guides.

Create and add assets to Collections

There are two methods to create a new Collection.
The first option is only available in the Canto XI New Library, begin by clicking the "+New" fast action button and selecting the "New Collection" option from the menu. Enter your desired Collection name in the text box and click "Save" to create an empty Collection. To add assets, refer to the instructions below for adding assets to an existing Collection.
The second method is to select one or more assets that you wish to include in the Collection, then click the "Add To Collection" button.
When using the Canto Classic Library, enter the Collection name and click "Create".
When using the Canto XI New Library, click the "+ New" button in the right upper corner of the Collection modal ①.
Enter the Collection name ②, and click "Save" ③.
Finally, click "Add" to include the selected assets in the new Collection ④.
Add assets to an existing Collection
To add individual assets to a Collection, hover your cursor over the asset's thumbnail in the gallery and click the icon. Select the "
Add To Collection" button.
To add multiple assets to a Collection, hover your cursor over the asset's thumbnail, and click the icon to select the asset. Repeat this process for all assets you wish to include, then click the
icon located above the gallery.
The Collection modal will appear, allowing you to locate the desired Collection, check the box next to it, and click the "Add" button to include your selected asset(s).
View and manage Collections
In the Folder Tree, select "Collections".
You will find a list with detailed information about all your existing Collections, including those you created and those shared with you.
In the Canto XI New Library, you can search by Collection name and use the Filter menu to display "All Collections," "Created by Me," or "Shared with Me."
To view the assets in a Collection, you may click on the Collection from the list or use the menu and select "View Collection".
Remove assets from a Collection
While viewing a collection, you can select one or more assets that you would like to remove from the Collection. In the Canto Classic Library, click the icon to remove the selected assets from the Collection. When the Warning pop-up appears, confirm your action by clicking "Yes" to successfully remove the asset(s) from the Collection.
In the Canto XI New Library click the icon to remove the selected assets from the Collection.
Share and manage access to a Collection
Share a Collection with external users
To share a Collection with external users in the Canto Classic Library, begin by viewing your list of Collections. Click the icon next to the Collection you wish to share. In the "Share with" textbox, type in the email address of the external user, select the Enter key to add the email, repeat this process for any additional email addresses. Once you've made your selections, click "Save" to share the Collection with the external users.
In the Canto XI New Library, click the icon to open the Actions menu, and select the "
Create share link" option. The Share Collection modal will appear, displaying the URL of your new Share Link. Click the
icon to copy to your clipboard. You can also click the "
View Link" to open the Share Link in a new browser tab. To close the Share Collection modal, click "Done".
Share a Collection with internal Canto users
To share a Collection in the Canto Classic Library with external users, begin by viewing your list of Collections. Click the icon next to the Collection you wish to share. In the "Share with" textbox, type in the name of the Canto user, select the user from the list, and repeat this process for all Canto users you wish to share with. Once you've made your selections, click "Save" to share the Collection.
In the Canto XI New Library, click the icon to open the Actions menu ①, and select the "
Share & Manage Access" option ②.
In the "Add username or group" textbox, enter the name of the Canto user or group you wish to share the Collection with, then select the appropriate user or group from the list that appears, you may add multiple users and groups during this step ③. Next, specify the level of access you want the selected users or groups to have by choosing either the "Can view" or "Can edit" option ④. After making your selection, click "Add" ⑤. Once you have added all desired users and groups, and granted the appropriate access to each, click "Save" to complete the sharing process ⑥.
Revoke access to a Shared Collection
To remove a Canto user or group's access to a Collection, click the icon to open the Actions menu, and select the "
Share & Manage Access" option. In the "Shared with" section, locate the user or group whose access you want to revoke. Under the "Access" column, click on the current access level and choose the "Remove access" option from the menu. Click "Save" to confirm and apply the changes.
Download a Collection
To download an entire Collection in the Canto XI New Library, begin by accessing your list of Collections. Click the button to open the Actions menu, and select the "
Download Contents" option. Enter a name for the .zip file and configure your Download Settings as needed. Finally, click "Download" to complete the process.
Delete a Collection

To delete a Collection, begin by accessing your list of Collections.
In the Canto Classic Library, click the icon. When the Warning pop-up appears, confirm your action by clicking "Yes" to successfully delete the Collection.
In the Canto XI New Library, click the icon to open the Actions menu, and select the "
Delete" option. When the Warning pop-up appears, confirm your action by clicking "Delete" to successfully delete the Collection.
