List view

Assets are displayed as a list which allows you to see a set of metadata next to the assets.

As an admin you can add Custom Fields to the list view.

1. Go to Settings Configuration Options Defaults List View.
2. Check the box next to a custom field to add it to list view.
3. Save to apply your changes.

Note: The changed configuration applies to all users who log in from now on.

You can also change the filenames quickly in this view.

Thumbnail view

Assets are displayed as squared thumbnails.

You can change the size of the thumbnails by clicking the different sized squares.

Note: When in thumbnail view, images may appear blurry as the preview may be stretched to fit a 1x1 preview. We suggest using masonry view (see below) which is designed to maintain the original file aspect ratio.

Masonry Grid view

Assets are displayed as thumbnails with an indication of their orientation. For example, portrait photos will appear vertically while photos in landscape orientation will appear horizontally.

You can change the size of the thumbnails by clicking the different sized squares.

Curated view

Display files by personalizing and organizing content in any album. Add context by giving album content a title and subtitle and also break it down into different sections if you wish.
The curated view works with both the thumbnail view and the masonry view.

Geo view

Geo view plots assets on a map based on GPS location data stored in each file. Use it to explore where photos and videos were taken or to narrow your library to a specific place.

Opening Geo view

1. Open an album, share link, or library view.
2. Select Geo view from the view options in the toolbar.

Assets with GPS location data appear as markers on the map. Assets without GPS data don't appear on the map, but are still in your library.

What the map shows

The map displays up to 100 markers at a time. Each marker represents a location and can contain multiple files — when assets share the same or a nearby GPS location, they're grouped under a single marker.

Because one marker can represent many files, and because the map caps at 100 markers, Geo view is best for exploring where assets are located. Switch to List, Thumbnail, or Masonry view to see and work with the complete set at a location.

Navigating the map

• Zoom in to focus on a smaller area. Markers separate out and the file count updates to show only assets within the visible part of the map.
• Zoom out to see a wider area. Markers group together and cover more assets under fewer points.
• Pan (drag) the map to move to a different region.

The file count always reflects assets within the current map view.

Switching to a standard view

When you switch from Geo view to List, Thumbnail, or Masonry view, what you see depends on what the map was showing:

• If the map showed files, the standard view displays exactly those files — including all files grouped inside each marker. This is the most reliable way to see every file at a location.
• If the map showed no files (no GPS-tagged assets in the current view), the standard view displays all files.

Getting back to all files

To return to the full file set, you have two options:

• Open the filter panel and click Clear All.
• Reselect the album from the navigation tree to reload it from scratch.
