Because of the various technologies working behind the scenes of your Canto tenant, some limitations may apply when uploading files from your computer to your library.

By upload method

via a web browser

Files uploaded through a web browser – for example the main library, a portal, or an Upload Link – may not exceed 200 GB.

via Canto Connect

The latest Canto Connect version allows unlimited file size uploads.

via Canto Connect (Legacy)

Files uploaded using Canto Connect (Legacy) for Windows may not exceed 200 GB.

Files uploaded using Canto Connect (Legacy) for macOS may not exceed 100 GB.

via Adobe Connector

Files uploaded using the Canto Adobe Connector may not exceed 5 GB.

By file type

PPTX (Powerpoint)

Files larger than 1 GB may encounter processing issues, which can result in missing thumbnails or stalled uploads.

ZIP Archives

Files larger than 1 GB will not generate a thumbnail. You may manually add a thumbnail by following the steps in the article Change the Preview/Thumbnail of an Asset.
