Attributes are the core building blocks of the Product Hub, allowing you to add information to your Products.

Create new Attributes
Individually
Click on "Admin" in the top right corner, then select "Product Info".
On the Product Info page, ensure that the "Attributes" tab is selected, and click the "Add Attribute" button on the right.
Give the new Attribute a name①. This name must be unique, and cannot already be in use.
Next, select the Attribute's data type②. An Attribute can have one of the following data types.
- Text - Stores any free-form text value. Use for fields like product name, description, or any open-ended content.
- Integer* - Stores whole numbers. Admins can set optional validation rules: minimum value, maximum value, required, and default value.
- Decimal* - Stores numbers with decimal precision. Admins can set optional validation rules: minimum value, maximum value, decimal precision limit, required, and default value.
- Date - Stores date values as text. Use for date-based fields.
- Image - This data type is used to assign image assets to a product. Attributes with this data type can only be assigned to "Image Groups"
- Single Select** - User selects one option from a predefined list. Example: Finish (Matte, Gloss, Eggshell)
- Multi Select** - User selects multiple options from a predefined list. Example: Regions available (NAM, LATAM, SAM, EMEA)
*Integer and Decimal attribute types
Integer and Decimal are validated numeric attribute types that enforce data rules at every point data can enter Product Hub — the product editor, CSV import, and the API.
- Create an Integer attribute to store whole numbers, or a Decimal attribute to store numbers with a defined level of precision
- Set optional validation rules per attribute: minimum value, maximum value, decimal precision limit, required flag, and default value
- Invalid values are rejected at the point of entry and cannot be saved; out-of-precision Decimal values are always rejected, never silently rounded
For Integer and Decimal attributes, the validation rules (minimum value, maximum value, decimal precision, and default value) can be edited freely until the first value is saved to that attribute on any product or variant record. Once data has been assigned, those rules lock permanently and become read-only. To use different rules, create a new attribute with the updated configuration.

Please note: When saving a value to an Integer or Decimal attribute for the first time via the product editor, a confirmation prompt will inform you that this action will permanently lock the attribute's validation rules. |
**Multi and single Select
Multi select and single select options (sometimes called picklists, dropdowns, or select fields) allow admins to enforce consistent metadata entry, reduce data duplication, and standardize product classification across teams and integrations. The options can be added in bulk, and the order can be customized. Admins also have the option to choose whether new choices can be added during import.
Lastly, select the Group ③ to which the Attribute will belong. The amount of Groups available under this drop-down will change, depending on the setup of your Product Hub. However, you will at least see the following two default groups.

None
This is the default for new Attributes. The "None" Group cannot be assigned to a Product Type, making its Attributes unavailable.

General
The "General" section determines which Attributes are visible in the Product Details tab. Any Attribute assigned here will be displayed on every Product.
Once you have entered all the Attribute's details, click "Add Attribute".
In bulk
To save time, you can create multiple new Attributes at once. After you have started the process and have been forwarded to the "Add Attribute" page, do not fill out the three fields. Instead, click on "Add Bulk Attributes".
Use the pop-up to enter the names of all the Attributes you wish to create, separated by commas. Once your list is complete, click "OK".
You can now change the name, set the data type, and select a Group for each Attribute.
To delete an entry from the list, click the
-icon
to the right of the Attribute.
To add more Attributes to the list, click on "Add Attribute".
Once all Attributes have been set up to your liking, click "Add Bulk Attributes" to create them.

Please note: Attributes can be edited or deleted even if in use, which may alter or remove associated Product Details from affected Products. Deleted Attributes are not sent to the Trash, and cannot be recovered. |
Edit an Attribute
Attributes are incredibly versatile, and each aspect of an Attribute can be adjusted after it has been created. To do so, open the Product Info page, and select the "Attributes" tab. Next, find the attribute you wish to update, either by manually looking through the list of attributes, or by using the search bar in the top right to search for the Attribute's name.
Once you have found the Attribute of your choice, click on it.
You can now change the name and group of your attribute. You cannot change the data type of your attribute after it has been created.
Click "Save" in the top right to finalize the update.
Update the Product's name, data type or Group as desired, then click "Save".
Delete an Attribute
There are two options to delete an Attribute. First, follow the same steps as if you were to edit it.
Once you have found the Attribute and opened it, click the

next to the "Edit"-button, and select "Delete".
Alternatively, you can click the "Edit" button first. Instead
of changing the Attribute's details, click the
-icon
next to the "Cancel"-button, and select "Delete".
Either option will show a confirmation dialog. Click "OK" to delete the Attribute.
